Hungary’s OzoneNetwork TV (Corp. Origo) are having their day in the sun with Orad’s 3DWeather
Press Release
March 15th, 2010
Orad, a world leading provider of real-time broadcasting graphic solutions, is providing Hungary’s OzoneNetwork TV with the region’s first weather channel.
Origo approached Orad with the desire to create an exciting weather channel. As this is the region’s first ever weather channel, Origo wanted to ensure that the station would bring weather broadcasting to a whole new level.
With Orad’s 3DWeather, Origo will be able to create realistic and captivating 2D and 3D representations of weather forecasts that can be presented on 2D and 3D maps in real-time. Once the weather elements are created, Orad’s 3DPlay manages and populates the graphics with data provided by ICI, Hungary’s weather provider. With 3DPlay, Origo are able to manage the large amounts of data and maps, and make ad hoc changes moments before going on air.
The entire weather show is broadcasted out of Orad’s virtual studio, which relies on Xync infrared tracking combined with Vinten’s advanced robotic head. The virtual studio, whose design was built by Origo themselves, will be used to broadcast the new weather show, as well as other lifestyle magazine shows on their other new channel, LifeNetwork.
Origo TV’s weather channel will be broadcasted on television, internet and cellular platforms.
Mr. Peter Koltai, head of Origo TV project: “The combination of Orad’s powerful graphic capabilities and cutting edge technology has provided us with the ingredients we need to make our new weather channel a huge success.”
“We are happy that Origo’s OzoneNetwork and LifeNetwork channels have placed its confidence in Orad’s broadcasting solutions. Together with the help or our Hungarian partner, Studiotech, we implemented 3DWeather, ProSet, and 3DPlay in one of the most stunning new installations in Europe.” Mr. Avi Sharir, CEO and President of Orad Hi-Tec Systems
